The recording services offered by Vibes Sound are done using only high quality equipment specifically selected by our team based on years of experience in the field of studio recording and live sound, utilizing unique sound production techniques to ensure the highest standards while standing out from other recording studios. Our studio was designed by musicians for musicians, emphasising the importance of a comfortable and natural atmosphere to bring out the best performance possible while recording.
Recordings include a sound/recording engineer experienced in Sound production that will choose microphones and their placement to shape the sound that fits your project. While operating the computer/program where all the recordings will be stored, the engineer is also trained and experienced in music, production, and performance and can offer helpful advice and tips during the session if requested.
Different recording techniques: Live Recording & Overdub Recording
Vibes Sound offers different recording techniques allowing you to record comfortably and naturally, the way that best suits you and your project in order to maximize results and your time in the studio. In a single project, multiple techniques can be used at different times and stages to achieve the the desired results and perfed workflow.
Live recording
Live recording is when two or more instruments play and record at the same time. For example you can record vocals and guitars, bass and drums or even a full band simultaneously .
Live recordings are ideal for bands looking to capture the vibes and energy created when playing together or for a band/musician looking to simplify and shorten the recording process. Live recordings will produce high quality results with unique vibes and performance that cannot be recreated. it must be noted that editing and mixing options are limited when recording instruments together.
Using headphones each musician can choose which instruments and their respective volume he would like to hear during the recording. For example the singer of the band can choose to lower the volume of the guitar and hear only a little bit of the bass so he can hear himself clearly and focus on his performance.
Vibes Sound recommends an average of a 3 hour session to record 1 song (3-5 minutes) taking into consideration time spent at the beginning of the session to set up the equipment/sound check, and the performance level of the musicians that are recording.
In addition to the recording session, Vibes Sound recommends at least 2 hours of post recording services (Editing/Mixing/Mastering) in order to actualize the potential of the recordings and the final product. Post recording services can be done by Vibes Sound or an external engineer of your choosing (all relevant materials will be transferred to him according to his requests)

Overdub Recording
Overdub recordings are recommended mainly for people looking to achieve professional and high quality results that can compete with any studio in israel.
Overdub recording is when each instrument is recorded separately one by one until all the instruments and parts of the song are recorded. For example the drummer will record first hearing only the metronome and once he is finished the bassist will record hearing what the drummer recorded before him, followed by the guitarist recording over what the drummer and bassist already played.
Recording each instrument separately has many advantages. Each instrument can be recorded using more microphones in order to capture the full spectrum of the sound produced by that instrument and all its details making it sound bigger. Each musician or performer records by himself giving him the freedom to record at his own pace, allowing him to choose if he wants to record the full song in one take, record the song part by part or even note by note. Record as many times as necessary, everything is saved and the final product will be comprised of the best performance of each part or even each note that will be chosen later during editing. Having each instrument recorded separately allows precise editing and mixing down to the finest details in order to bring out the full potential of each part and later the song as a whole.

After all the parts are recorded and the takes are chosen, Vibes Sound highly recommends post-recording services (Editing/Mixing/Mastering) in order to bring out the full potential of the song ready for publication through different channels and media. Post recording services can be done by Vibes Sound or an external engineer of your choosing (all relevant materials will be transferred to him according to his requests)
